6th July 2025 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny start then wet with thunder. Max Speed: Distance Covered: 3 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Sunday 6th July - walk *** – Felixstowe prom in the rain– sunny start then thundery with rain. Interesting Sunday, started sunny and hot, started my exercises in the back garden but had to come indoors when the rain arrived but the thunder and lightning missed us as further up the coast! Then late afternoon we had been invited round someone we child minded from a baby who with his partner to their forever house over looking the sea at The Manor! We set off with double umbrellas as the rain fell and we had great fun walking to the end of the prom surrounded by dark clouds then visited our friends lovely new house, the views from the balcony are to die for. We had a great catch-up chat over a cuppa before walking home along the prom in the rain. Back at home I loaded the van with my windsurfing gear as we are to Wrabness early in the morning for a foil!
